Melanotan II is a cyclic analogue of alpha-MSH that activates melanocortin receptors 1, 3, 4 and 5. It increases melanin synthesis in the skin and, through MC4R, affects libido and appetite.

Used for photoprotective pigmentation protocols; systemic effects require medical supervision.
