PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a melanocortin-4 receptor agonist that acts centrally on sexual-desire pathways rather than on vascular tone. It is approved in the US for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women (RECONNECT trials, Obstet Gynecol 2019).
