BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid fragment of Body Protection Compound, a gastric-juice protein. Preclinical work associates it with up-regulation of growth-factor receptors, angiogenesis via VEGFR2 and modulation of the nitric-oxide system, with consistent effects on tendon, ligament and gut-mucosa repair in animal models (Sikiric et al., Curr Pharm Des 2018).

It is the most requested compound in tissue-repair protocols. Human controlled data remain limited, so use is protocol-based and supervised.
